Nominate a Sweet Survivor

Each year, Krewe de Pink proudly honors six extraordinary survivors at our signature event, Death by Chocolate…NOT Breast Cancer. These remarkable honorees become powerful ambassadors for our mission, sharing their journeys with courage, hope, and purpose.

These remarkable honorees become powerful ambassadors for our mission, sharing their journeys with courage, hope, and purpose. Through their stories they bring the survivor experience to life, inspiring others who may be walking a similar path or who have put off their regular screening, and raising meaningful awareness about breast cancer. Their voices also help fuel our commitment to funding innovative research and promising therapies—with one ultimate goal: to save lives.

Breast cancer reaches across every community, touching people of all genders, ages, families, and backgrounds. If you or someone you know is currently facing breast cancer, is a survivor—whether recently or many years ago—or has been a devoted advocate for this cause, we invite you to submit a nomination using the form below. You may also share the link directly with your nominee so they can tell their story in their own words. Together, we can honor resilience, amplify hope, and help move life-saving research forward.

The Criteria: We honor survivors and those currently on their breast cancer journey who embody our mission by uplifting others, promoting wellness, and being active voices in the community. To see examples of the incredible individuals we have recognized in the past, you can view past survivors here.

The Ask: Sweet Survivors are asked to share their story, attend a pre-event meet and greet with fellow and past survivors, and be present at the main event as we celebrate their strength, advocacy, and impact.

The Requirements: Nominees must reside in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, St. James, or Plaquemines Parish. Only one nomination may be submitted per person, and all forms must be completed in full.

The Deadline: Nominations are due by July 15, 2026.

The Fine Print: Nomination form statements, personal statements, bios, and photos may be used to help promote our mission and celebrate the Sweet Survivors.
